Before You Get Started
To connect Discord with Ampersand, you will need a Discord Account. Once your account is created, you’ll need to configure an app in Discord and obtain the following credentials from your app:- Client ID
- Client Secret
Create a Discord Account
Here’s how you can sign up for a Discord Developer account:- Go to the Discord Sign Up page and create an account.
- Sign up using your preferred method.
Creating a Discord App
Follow the steps below to create a Discord app and add the Ampersand redirect URL in the app:- Log in to your Discord Developer Portal.
- Click New Application.
- Enter the App Name and click Create.

Enter in your app details and click the Save changes button.

- Go to the OAuth2 tab.
- In the Redirects section, click the Add Redirect button.

Enter the Ampersand redirect URL:
https://api.withampersand.com/callbacks/v1/oauthin the text field in the Redirects section. - Select the necessary scopes for your app from the Scopes section
- Click Save Changes.

Add Your Discord App Info to Ampersand
- Log in to your Ampersand Dashboard.

Select the project where you want to create a Discord integration.

- Select Provider apps.
- Select Discord from the Provider list.
- Enter the previously obtained Client ID in the Client ID field and the Client Secret in the Client Secret field.
- Click Save changes.
